As Wedding Celebrants, we’re passionate about creating ceremonies that reflect each couple’s unique personalities, style and story. Lydia and Andrew’s wedding ceremony took place at The Courtyard at Victoria Park and keeping things relaxed, simple, and full of love was a perfect reflection of them as a couple.
A thoughtfully tailored ceremony
Lydia and Andrew envisioned a simple ceremony that prioritised the comfort and enjoyment of them and their guests. They wanted a ceremony that allowed them to truly be present in the moment and celebrate their love without being too long and detailed. With this in mind, I was able to create a ceremony that was simple, meaningful, stress-free and above all else enjoyable for everyone!
The Courtyard at Victoria Park offered a stunning backdrop for their big day. With its charming arbour adorned with dried boho style flower arrangements, and sweeping views of the parkland and city skyline, it provided the perfect setting for their I Do’s.
To ensure everyone was fully present and enjoying the ceremony, Lydia and Andrew opted for an unplugged ceremony. This allowed their guests to relax and truly be in the moment. We find the best way to communicate this, is during the pre-wedding announcements.
Lydia chose to arrive and walk down the aisle with by both her Mum and Dad, acknowledging their role as her parents and their support of her marriage.
The ceremony itself while simple, was filled with love. Instead of sharing their story as a couple together, they kept it simple and instead decided to have me share their personality traits and passions that resulted in them connecting so well as a couple.
We think it’s so important that the couple are able to have these special moments captured without us being in shot, so once the couple are perfectly centered and comfortable we like to deliver the ceremony from the side as pictured here.
To eliminate the nerves of sharing personalised vows, they kept their vows to the minimum required sentence before exchanging rings and sealing the deal!
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their wedding party headed off on a fun-filled photo session through Victoria Parkland in golf buggies. This carefree adventure with their wedding party allowed them to capture more special moments and celebrate their marriage with champagne and laughter.
Once the sun set, they all returned to celebrate with their guests and party the night away in style!
Lydia and Andrew’s wedding ceremony was beautifully simple and special, and as their Wedding Celebrant it was an absolute pleasure to be a part of their big day.
