An Ocean View Estate Wedding Full of love

What a magnificent celebration Chelsea and Euan’s Ocean View Estate Wedding was.

Ocean View Estate wedding ceremony

As their Celebrant when it came to planning their ceremony, we talked through ceremony ideas to achieve their vision for their wedding – being full of love, laughter, and meaningful Scottish traditions while ensuring the happy couple and all their guests would thoroughly enjoy an elegant day of celebrations!

With its picturesque countryside views, Ocean View Estate was a lovely setting for their special day, and I absolutely loved being their Celebrant, and couldn’t be happier to receive the following recommendation from the happy couple:

5 STAR REVIEW

Cara was our Celebrant, and she was fantastic!

She was so helpful throughout the lead up and really made me feel calm as the day approached.

She had thought of so many little details, that hadn’t even crossed my mind, which took so much pressure off me and really allowed both my husband and I to enjoy the day.

We can’t speak highly enough of Cara!

Bringing Scotland to Queensland

Being from Scotland, the groom Euan, in classic Scottish tradition brought his heritage to the day, joining the groomsmen in the family’s tartan clan, combined with traditional Prince Charlie jackets, waistcoats and the classic sporran pocket – perfect for holding that cheeky hip flask for a ‘wee dram!’

Many guests, including those who travelled from Scotland, and even some guests that made the short trip from Brisbane were keen to get in to the Scottish spirit also dressed in traditional Scottish attire.

Adding to the Scottish charm, a piper played signalling that Chelsea was about to make her grand entrance. Her arrival was nothing short of adorable as the couple’s two dogs walked down the aisle first, almost stealing the show with their cuteness, followed by her radiant bridesmaids.

When bride Chelsea accompanied by her proud father, made her entrance down the aisle, her eyes locked with Euan’s and smiles filled everyone’s faces.

The ceremony was held at the rotunda, a private space separate from the estate’s main building, providing an intimate atmosphere. The rotunda was adorned with dried flower arrangements, which matched Chelsea’s beautiful bouquet perfectly.

A new addition since my last visit to the venue was the thoughtful shade structure over the guest seating area—an appreciated upgrade, particularly on a sunny day.

A happy Celebration

Our signature ceremony style of happy, enjoyable ceremonies was evident with a ceremony full of laughter and smiles from both the couple and their guests.

I shared Chelsea and Euan’s love story and how they first met at CrossFit in Brisbane before Euan made the ultimate move… and slid into Chelsea’s DMs!

Euan’s first impression of Chelsea was that she has a beautiful smile.

Meanwhile Chelsea’s first impression of Euan was that he had a very strange accent!

Perhaps from the emotions being in super drive, they both had slightly differing recollections of the proposal – to the amusement of the guests I shared both versions and let them decide!

It was evident how much love these two have for one another as they shared their heartfelt, surprise vows with each other.

The ceremony concluded with cheers from their loved ones, as I had the pleasure of declaring them as married!

After signing the marriage certificates, the couple walked back down the aisle through a shower of fresh rose petals and a cheering crowd.
