If you are planning on having a small, intimate wedding in Brisbane City, and you’re looking for inspiration or the perfect wedding venue (and a not too shabby Celebrant!) for your small wedding, you’re on the right page.
I couldn’t be happier to receive this wonderful feedback from the happy newlyweds:
5 STAR REVIEW
“Jamie provided an excellent service for our wedding.
We wanted a light-hearted but meaningful ceremony, and he provided exactly that. Jamie was very easy to communicate with about our wedding ceremony and was always eager to help with any questions we had.” L+J
On the day guests also expressed their appreciation for the enjoyable ceremony, mentioning how well I warmed-up the crowd during the pre-wedding announcements, setting the perfect tone for the celebration.
The ceremony vision:
The couples brief for their day was clear: a relaxed and light-hearted ceremony surrounded by their 24 nearest and dearest.
The perfect venue for a small wedding in Brisbane City:
The ceremony took place at The Flying Duck at Roma Street Parkland, an adorable hidden gem wedding venue that offers breathtaking views over the parkland’s lake.
If you’re looking for a Brisbane City wedding venue that is both beautiful and well suited to small weddings, The Flying Duck is a picture-perfect location that not only offers stunning views but also provides endless options for wedding receptions venues, including the many private dining rooms at Brisbane restaurants around Brisbane City.
Elegant ceremony decor:
The beautifully styled ceremony space was conveniently set up on the day by With Love – Brisbane Wedding Decorators.
The luxe white circular arbour adorned with dried florals, a chic white aisle, and white Americana chairs perfectly complemented and framed the beautiful surrounding parkland and lake.
Planning the perfect ceremony:
The ceremony planning process begins with an initial meeting with me, where we not only complete the pre-marriage paperwork, we also talk through your vision, share ideas and I ensure I have a really good understanding of the kind of ceremony my couples would like, so I can ensure their ceremony reflects them and their personalities perfectly, while ensuring they’re super comfortable so they can really enjoy their ceremony too.
The moment we began planning this wedding ceremony, it was clear they envisioned a ceremony filled with laughter, love, and their own unique quirks that make their relationship unique.
At Brisbane City Celebrants, we’re big believers that a ceremony is a celebration of a couples love, and it’s safe to say we nailed that for this ceremony. The atmosphere was filled with laughter, smiles, and heartfelt “awws.” The guests enjoying every moment of the ceremony as I shared their story together, keeping the tone light and happy.
Their very honest recollection of their love story, from their first meeting at university was so memorable that neither of them can recall that first meeting! They did however fondly recall the pivotal moment when he asked her for a book recommendation, sparking a connection that led to this unexpected romance.
The happy couple decided to write personalised vows and share them for the first time during the ceremony.
WEDDING VOW TIP:
Our couples are invited to send these through to us prior to the day, so we can assure each persons vows are aligned in length and tone, then I print them on luxury vow card ready to pass to them during the ceremony. They appreciate that’s one less thing to remember to bring along on the day.
Their vows, much like the ceremony were the perfect balance of humour and sincerity, capturing their shared love for quirky moments and their personality traits that mesh them so well as a couple.
Once vows were shared, rings were exchanged, then the happy couple sealed the deal with a kiss.
After signing the marriage certificates the glowing newlyweds made their way back down the aisle together to the cheers and applause of their family and friends.
Congratulations to the happy newlyweds! I really appreciate receiving this wonderful feedback and I’m very grateful to have been chosen as the Celebrant for your special day.
