What an amazing day it was for Erin and Matt’s Kooroomba Chapel wedding. This couple were an absolute dream to work with and surprised their guests with some very exciting news which made their day all the more memorable.
This venue is located in the scenic rim, a 90 minute drive west of Brisbane. With a custom built wedding chapel surrounded by the lavender farm.
After 10 years together this was the perfect spot for them to make it official at a relaxed Queensland countryside wedding and I couldn’t be happier to receive the following kind words from the happy newlyweds:
“Thank you so much for our beautiful ceremony. We loved the whole experience from booking to the actual wedding day and we have received lots of compliments on our ceremony from our guests. Thank you for making us feel so comfortable and for making sure everything ran smoothly.”
The ceremony began with some pre-wedding announcements, including sharing the couples wish for an unplugged ceremony. This is also a great opportunity to get the guests warmed and set the vibe for a happy, enjoyable ceremony.
Once the guests were amped up, I received news that the bride Erin had arrived, so I quickly popped out to greet her and her bridesmaids, to reassure them and ensure they are comfortable with their arrival in the chapel.
During the ceremony I shared the story of how they met 10 years prior, when Matt an ‘L plater’ at the time almost ran in to their family car on the way to school one day. Erin spotted Matt was driving and couldn’t take her eyes off him.
Their proposal story was also very unique. With Matt’s careful planning, their engagement caught Erin by surprise.
They had just bought their first home and had excitedly planned to walk through together late that night.
When they arrived at their new home, he carried her up the stairs and put on their favourite Chainsmokers album and danced around the empty house before flopping down on the floor and Erin unknowingly gave Matt the perfect opening line when she said:
“I couldn’t be happier than I am right now”, to which he pulled out the ring box.
The happy couple shared for the first time the personalised vows that they had written for each other, before being introduced as husband and wife and making their way back down the aisle and ringing the chapel bell in celebration!
The couple proceeded to their reception where they shared the exciting news that they were expecting a baby as captured on their wedding highlight film.
What an amazing way to celebrate a very special couple and their love story together.
