I adored being a part of this happy wedding at Broadway Chapel in Brisbane.
Madeline and Tom’s ceremony was meaningful, special and happy and I adored sharing their love story with their guests, who smiled from ear to ear and laughed along with them.
What an adventure their story has been.
After meeting online, Madeline had agreed to a date with Tom at the Charming Squire in Southbank.
When Madeline got home from the date, her Mum and brother were up and when her Mum saw the smile on Madeline’s face, she knew she had met someone special, and with a cheeky giggle she said “well, what’s his name.”
That smile was the same one on both of their faces during their ceremony.
After their first date, Madeline and Tom were inseparable, like two peas in a pod.
Their love for each other may have come easily, but it didn’t come without compromise. Due to the nature of Tom’s career, there was a lot of time spent apart and missing each other. This only brought truth to the old saying, absence makes the heart grow fonder.
It taught them to appreciate all the time they had together and helped form their unbreakable bond.
Two years in to their relationship, Tom got up early to cook Madeline a breakfast she would never forget.
Tom had moved their kitchen table out onto their balcony, and as Madeline sat down, still half asleep, Tom skipped off saying he just needed to get something.
Madeline was confused as there was more food on the table than they could possibly eat so she wondered what more could he be getting.
As Tom walked back, Madeline noticed he looked very nervous and then she saw what he was trying to hide behind his back….. the ring!
What a journey it’s been already, having achieved many successes individually and as a couple, however they agree that above everything else, their greatest achievement is each other.
What an honour to pronounce them as married to the passionate cheers and applause of their guests.
How’s this for a great way for the wedding party to exit back down the aisle, when there is an uneven number on each side.
After the ceremony the happy newlyweds enjoyed photos with their wedding party at Roma Street Parkland and Northshore Riverside in Hamilton before dancing the night away.
