Oh how we love being Celebrants! This stunning wedding at Old Government House was such a happy day. You can see the love radiating from these two as they tied the knot and celebrated the night away with their nearest and dearest.
5 STAR REVIEW “I’m not even sure where to start! Cara was the BEST Celebrant to work with in the lead up to the day and especially on the day. Cara made the whole process so easy, and our ceremony was flawless which wouldn’t have been possible without Cara.
We received so many comments from our guests on how wonderful both the ceremony and Cara were. Thank you Cara!” H+M
Old Government House is located in the heart of the City within the QUT complex and offers a choice of unique wedding ceremony and reception locations.
Our couple opted to have their ceremony in the gorgeous courtyard of this heritage building.
We love performing weddings here as the venue is stunning and the team do an amazing job coordinating everything on the day from arranging special vehicle access for the couples arrival, to providing a high quality sound system and they even look after playing the ceremony music on the day. So it’s an absolute honour to be recommended Marriage Celebrants at this premium wedding venue in Brisbane.
Once pre-wedding announcements were made setting the happy tone for the ceremony, and letting the guests know what to expect, the beautiful bride arrived in a classic white Royals Royce, before walking down the aisle to her waiting groom.
There is so much emotion and so much to take in at that moment when a couple meet at the end of the aisle, so we like to take care of the finer details so our couples don’t have to. Like ensuring they are perfectly centered for photos and with a little help from the bridesmaid, that the brides dress is sitting perfectly behind her.
I adored sharing their love story together, including the story of the surprise proposal during a trip to Hayman Island. On their last night they were playing around on the scrabble board, not following any rules, just having fun and stealing each others letters as they giggled away.
Then to her surprise, when she caught sight of the board she saw he had actually made the words ‘marry me’. Catching her completely off guard, he then pulled the ring out of his pocket! Of course she said yes!
They laughed and cried as they shared the personalised vows they had written with each other, before exchanging rings and signing their marriage certificates.
If you’ve been following along on our socials for a while, you’ll know how much we love a confetti shower exit, and you can see why! Such a fun way to head back down the aisle together through a shower of rose petals and guests love it too!
What a happy ceremony! The fun continued as the couple joined their wedding party for photos at the nearby City Botanic Gardens before celebrating the night away in the private dining room of Agnes Restaurant.
What a wonderful day! and to top it off, I received such a beautiful 5 star google review from the happy newlyweds.
