Oh how we both loved being a part of Casey and Matiu’s Roma Street Parkland wedding at the Sunset Glade wedding lawn. I was so happy to receive the following feedback from the couple:
“Jamie, Thank you so much for being the Celebrant at our wedding.
Our ceremony was great and everything that we wanted and it all went so smoothly. We are both so grateful.”
This was such a special day to us, as not only was I (Jamie) chosen to be the couples Celebrant, but Cara who as well as being a Celebrant runs With Love Wedding Decor, was chosen to create and style the couples wedding ceremony set up and it’s safe to say after hearing the couples feedback on the day, she met the brief to perfection.
We love when we get to work alongside each other at weddings, especially at the stunning lawns at Roma Street Parkland. Our couples love it too, as it makes the ceremony planning so easy having just one point of contact for everything ceremony related.
The ceremony was styled with a classic wedding arbour, with soft draping and fresh floral arrangements in soft colours lining the aisle chairs and on the wedding arbour side ties. To finish the elegant setting, fresh rose petals were scattered to creating a luxurious wedding aisle.
The glowing bride was walked down her rose petal wedding aisle by her father and the groom could barely contain his excitement as he witnessed her walking towards him.
It was so important to this couple that their guests really enjoyed their ceremony, so for this reason and also to help ease wedding day nerves, they opted for a fun, light hearted and happiness filled ceremony.
Much to the amusement of their guests, we had some fun with the ‘I Do’s, with Matiu promising to always love and be patient with Casey, even when she doesn’t leave enough room for him to get out of his car when she parks in the garage?
Meanwhile Casey promised to always love and be patient with Matiu, even when he plays Xbox until 4am and comes home from football each week complaining of new injuries.
While the ceremony was full of happiness and laughter, there were also some beautiful heartfelt moments as the couple shared their wedding vows, and their beliefs on what marriage means to them:
Marriage is about understanding. Knowing when to stand firm and when to let the other person have their moment. Knowing when to speak your mind and knowing when to say nothing.
Knowing that no matter what happens for the rest of your days, that you have the right person to support you, or pull you back in line, and that person will be there to enjoy the good times and share the hard times.
As experienced Celebrants we always like to step out of camera shot for the wedding vows, so your Photographer can capture these special moments and emotions with just the two of you, as these photos demonstrate.
Who better to present the wedding rings than the couples son, filling Mum and Dad with pride.
It makes me so happy to be a part of weddings for such lovely couples like these two. After the ceremony the thoughtful couple arranged a bus to take guests to their reception, while they joined their bridal party for wedding photos around Roma Street Parkland.
A bonus of having your wedding at Roma Street Parkland is that this is a licenced park, so you can pack an esky and enjoy some cool drinks with your bridal party while the location photos take place.
What a truly stunning day! A very special mention to Erin and team from The Black Co Photography for capturing gorgeous images and timeless moments of this special day.
