Nicole and Dom’s wedding at Victoria Park was a celebration of simplicity, happiness, and doing things their way – a wedding celebration authentically them.
Their approach was to put wedding traditions that didn’t sit right with them aside, and create a day that reflected their personalities, that they could truly enjoy.
Getting ready together – In keeping their wedding authentic to them, a great decision Nicole and Dom made was getting ‘wedding ready’ together. Instead of spending the morning apart, they shared those pre-ceremony moments, which not only eased their nerves but also allowed them to have fun and enjoy each other’s company. It also gave them more time together on what can otherwise be a busy day. A beautiful idea!
A quick de-brief and recap ensuring we’re all on the same page with how the ceremony will flow, then it was time for the bride’s entrance.
You’ll notice at Brisbane City Celebrants, that we deliver much of the ceremony while standing to one side, allowing Wedding Photographers to capture beautiful moments like this, with just the couple in the frame.
The brides man – Instead of having traditional gender roles in their wedding party, while Dom had a Best Man, Nicole had a Brides Man. Which fitted perfectly.
Everything they did was about authenticity, ensuring they both felt comfortable, and it all came together in the most perfect way for them. They had the best day, and I was thrilled to receive their heartfelt five-star review and feedback that I was able to work with their vision for their day.
5 STAR REVIEW
“Cara did a fantastic job at our wedding, she is highly professional, funny, warm and incredibly organised.
You made it so easy. We are both introverts and you guided us through our ceremony so well. I loved that you encouraged personalised vows.
I also appreciate that you always included Dom in your emails, I found that really professional and it helped take the load off me for keeping track of everything.” Nicole
Guest congratulations during group photos – As self-described introverts, Nicole and Dom also did away with the traditional congratulatory moment after walking down the aisle. Instead, they felt more comfortable moving straight into the group photo and family photos, making the most of that time without feeling the pressure of a big spotlight, and it meant they could spend more time with their guests.
Colourful bouquet by Mister Botanical. Victoria Park was the perfect backdrop for their relaxed, genuine celebration. It was such a wonderful ceremony to be a part of.
Congratulations to the lovely Nicole and Dom! Their wedding was a beautiful reminder of how unique and personal wedding celebrations are when couples choose to make their wedding celebration authentically them.
