Victoria Park is a great choice for a wedding venue with a variety of function spaces, and we’re extremely honoured to be the recommended Celebrants of this stunning venue. So needless to say I loved being the for Stephanie and Chris’s stylish wedding at Victoria Parks Alabaster Terrace, and what a great day it was!
Instead of having their ceremony on the stage of the Alabaster Terrace, their ceremony was configured with the golf course behind them, styled with a white wall backdrop with plinths and fresh flowers.
Stephanie walked down the aisle to an emotional arrival then their eyes locked and they reassuringly squeezed each others hands as their ceremony began.
What an honour it was to share their love story, which began 4 years prior with love at first swipe.
They had their first date at the Cobbler – a dimly lit, high class cocktail bar with in house jazz. They talked for hours, shared drinks, laughs and stories, and eventually hopped along through the Spring evening to several other establishments where Steph would go on to order polenta but not touch a single piece.
As the night sped on, Chris, for a brief moment, caught a glace of Stephanie’s beautiful profile in a shimmer of light. He was in awe. It was that evening, that they both knew they would be together forever.
Two years after that first date, Chris asked for Stephanie’s hand in marriage on freshly fallen snow at his family’s cottage in Prince Edward Island in Canada.
Over their 4 years together, they have supported each other through many endeavors. From tackling uni assignments and exams to transitioning in to professional careers, so they are confident they can face any obstacle together.
The couple shared very special surprise vows with each other then exchanged rings.
After signing their marriage certificates they made their way back down the aisle together as husband and wife to the cheers of their guests.
One of the many unique benefits of weddings at Victoria Park is getting to zip around the golf buggies for photos at the numerous onsite photo locations.
