An unplugged wedding ceremony at The Refinery

What a stunning day it was for this adorable couples unplugged wedding ceremony at The Refinery.

When we meet with our couples to talk through the ceremony options, we always discuss the choice of pre-wedding announcements they have, in relating to guests taking photos.

Our couples will choose which option bests suits them and the style of their wedding, and as specialists in delivering engaging and captivating ceremonies, we find many of our couples opt for an unplugged ceremony, to remove the distraction of guests taking and uploading photos during the ceremony.

Anastasia and Cameron opted for an unplugged ceremony for this very reason. Having chosen not to have a long ceremony, it was important to them that their guests could focus on enjoying the ceremony without the distraction of taking photos, so we promised the guests that they would share their professional photos with them all, once they were ready.

We love witnessing wedding guests seriously enjoying the ceremony, listening to the couples carefully worded story, picking up on their quirks, wiping away a heartfelt tear and laughing along with their humour and this wedding was no exception.

A special mention to the lovely Kate Robinson Photography for capturing this day beautifully.

One of the many highlights of the ceremony was having the couples dog Oliver join us at the front, as one of the wedding party. He even got to be the official ring bearer, and if you know us, you’ll know we can barely contain our excitement if you tell us your dog will be joining us at your ceremony!

The happy couple shared short and simple yet heartfelt wedding vows.

We find if couples are anticipating they may be feeling fairly nerbous on the day, knowing that their vows are short and simple, really reduces their nerves on the day.

We think these photos are made more special and timeless by not having the Celebrant in shot, which is why you may notice we always carefully move off to the side out of camera shot at the pivotal moments of the ceremony, working with your Photographer and Videographer.
